A pastor is being made to pay for his alleged crimes after being accused of sexually assaulting a little girl many years ago.

Carl Baron, a pastor accused of raping an 8-year-old girl 46 years ago has gone on trial.
The pastor was on trial in the Parow Regional Court, South Africa, on Thursday.
According to News 24, Baron, a 77-year-old church pastor, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape.
The girl was allegedly raped outside the University of the Western Cape while on her way home from school, and then again at a church picnic in Oudtshoorn in 1970.
Baron was not a pastor at the time, but a member of the Emmanuel Pinkster Sendings Kerk (Emmanuel Mission Church).
Evidence heard during Thursday morning’s cross-examination of witnesses looked at whether the church had been established at the time that the alleged r*pes took place. The church was apparently only established in 1974.
Regional Magistrate Amanda van Leeve postponed the trial to November 30, for another witness to be brought to the court from Gauteng.
